SMMA Board of Directors
Every member of our board of directors is a volunteer of SMMA. Each one is a thought leader that brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our association. Their hard work and generous contributions are essential to the Sobrato and Murphy music programs.
GregChambers
CEO/Band Director
Mr. Chambers started as Band Director for Ann Sobrato High School and Martin Murphy Middle School in 2014. He not only teaches two band programs at two schools during the day, but he also directs several programs after school such as Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Winter Percussion. Greg also serves as CEO of SMMA.
Mr. Chambers is also a professional musician and top charting saxophonist. His most recent album "A New Day" launched in July 2018 and was a huge success with rave reviews, you can find it on Amazon and iTunes. But I am pretty sure if you asked Mr. Chambers he would say, the greatest of his successes to date, would have to be the birth of his beautiful son Owen.

President/Chair
Mrs. Le started volunteering for the association long before she was elected as President, and Chair of the Board in 2015. As head of the Board Theresa Le is Chief spokesperson for SMMA.
Mrs. Le is also a substitute teacher for MHUSD and is often affectionately referred to as "Mom" by many of our Band Students. Her daughter Catherine Le, lead the 2018 Sobrato Marching Band as Drum Major.
ChristineHogen-Esch
Vice President
Mrs. Hogen-Esch started volunteering for the association in 2019 and was elected as VP of SMMA that same year. She is in charge of all fundraising and she is backup to the President of SMMA.
When Mrs. Hogen-Esch is not busy fundraising for SMMA she works full time as a Math Teacher in San Jose.

Secretary
Mrs. Pierson started volunteering for the association in 2019. She is in charge of recording and archiving all official meetings that are called into motion.

ChristineOsborne
Uniform Coordinator
Mrs. Osborne has been Uniform Coordinator for SMMA since.....(a really long time!). She is in charge of all uniform assignments and inventory.
Mrs. Osborne is the hardest working and sweetest person you will ever meet, but you may be surprised to learn that she has a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Karate. I would pay extra attention to those uniform emails if I were you. Mrs. Osborne majored in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly then transferred to Palmer West College of Chiropractic and received her Doctrine of Chiropractic, in 1994. She worked as a practicing Chiropractor in Gilroy until 1998 before settling down at home to focusing on raising her family.
