Winter Guard

Winter 'color' Guard is an after school program that runs from December-April. Members of our Color guard, students who play another instrument, or high school/middle school students interested in joining are welcome to try out. Winter Guard team prepares a 5-10 minute choreographed show and competes in California Color Guard Circuit (CCGC) shows throughout the Bay Area. Students learn dance technique, how to spin/toss flags/rifles/sabers and body expression.

In the Fall, color guard is part of the overall Marching Band working together with instrumentalists to create a show that will be performed for at home football games and Western Band Association (WBA) competitions throughout the Bay Area and California.
